I like Shark Tank better than Marcus Lemonis because it
simulates the pressure of having to pitch one’s idea to a group of angel
investors. I’d rather work with someone
like Mark Cuban because I believe that he really supports entrepreneurs who are
working under his supervision in ways that the other sharks and Marcus Lemonis
do not. One major way in the funding it
that on Shark Tank, entrepreneurs are forced to value their company at a
certain level before they are able to pitch their idea to the sharks. Also, on Shark Tank, the five sharks really
want an equity stake in the entrepreneurs’ companies and that is made very
clear right from the top; it is essentially what the entrepreneurs are signing
up for (in return for a monetary investment) when they agree to come on Shark
Tank.
